The Virtual Production Program Manager will be a thought leader in executing virtual production technologies and services that will be integrated into one of our largest client’s facilities.  They’ll partner with our client to test, compare, develop and report on new technologies and how they can best align, be implemented and build a scalable and dependable virtual production service.

 

Additionally, this role will develop, manage, and lead a team that will provide the program and services within it. They will oversee a team that is responsible for providing virtual production as a service and as part of a large production team environment.  This client and stakeholder facing role will thrive by being solutions focused, having a growth mindset and having bias for action. 

 

As a Virtual Production Program Manager, You Will

  • Manage and lead a team that will build, maintain, operate, and update the current and future virtual production service and program offerings
  • Provide positive thought leadership and management skills which bring together different teams and services throughout the facility to provide and maintain reliable virtual production services
  • Build a sustainable service and offerings that drives consistency, scalability, reliability and quality for all virtual production needs
  • Work closely with the client and other departments leads on facility wide solutions to virtual production service offerings
  • Work directly with clients and project teams to develop solutions, budgets, timelines, and manage expectations.
  • Research, identify, and recommend technology options for clients and projects
  • Attend in-person and/or remote/teleconference discovery meetings to identify technology and business requirements; to potentially include attending site surveys when necessary to obtain design space details
  • Educate and drive understanding of virtual production technologies across internal teams, clients and other production companies
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedure documentation
  • Conceptualize and pitch system designs and determine system requirements

Qualifications


As an Applicant, You Bring

  • 7 years of experience in production
  • 3 years leading or managing a production team
  • 2 years in Virtual Production environment and platforms
  • Expertise with Unreal Engine, Stype, Aximmetry, greenscreen, LED Volume or other virtual production software and hardware
  • Experience with broadcast and sound stage production environment
  • Experience with large event production needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and communicate concise, succinct messages
  • Analytical thinking, and high level of problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Sense of urgency and excellent time management skills
  • Strong project management aptitude
  • Bias for action
  • A positive and solution-oriented growth mindset
  • Ability to work well, collaborate and partner across teams to drive a united front on all virtual production technologies and needs

  • Strong engineering and integration background
  • Understanding and experience with IT/Network

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Manage small team as well as build and support a department, program and service
  • Physical Demands
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
  • Work Environment
    • The position will require flexible hours
    • Must be local to the Redmond/Seattle area
    • On-site at client’s facility
  • Travel

Compensation

Pay Range: $150,000 – $190,000 (Salary)

The successful candidate’s starting pay within this range will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.

Benefits:

Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
