Registered Nurse Manager
The Registered Nurse Manager oversees all nursing operations of the facilities in their region, ensures that company policies and procedures are carried out and that regulatory compliance standards are being met. The position of Registered Nurse Manager is as much a support role, as it is a leadership role taking the lead in ensuring that our nursing teams provide top-notch, evidence-based, and patient-centric care. This includes management of strategic initiatives, staffing and workforce planning, quality improvement, and staff education and support.
Schedule:
- Full Time, 1.0 FTE (40hrs/wk), generally working Monday through Friday 8:00 - 5:00pm.
- Will be expected to have presence and connection with all staff on all shifts as needed, so schedule will need to be flexible depending on site and team needs.
- Will be a part of the Site Leadership weekend on call rotation, approximately 1 weekend per month.
Compensation Range:
Registered Nurse Manager: $105,800 - $169,300 annually
Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for position.
How Registered Nurse Manager's Empower Recovery:
- Work alongside the site management teams at each site within their region to develop and implement processes, identify, and resolve issues, while also managing staff.
- Travel to sites within the location to provide management support, as needed.
- Travel requirement to other sites within region; South Sound and Spokane sites as needed, but not to exceed once quarterly.
- Complete payroll and timecard audits for nursing staff personnel within assigned site and region.
- Monitor documentation for adherence to nursing SOPs.
- Supervise, coach and mentor nursing staff, activities across multiple sites and serve as a nursing resource within their region.
- Provide training for new nursing personnel (i.e., Nurse Managers, Lead Nurses, and new nurses) on managerial roles and responsibilities.
- Provide client care, administer medication under provider direction, and provide education to clients/parents, as needed.
- Provide care coordination between patient and the providers, staff, family, and outside care agencies as needed.
- Participate in site weekly case management and daily huddles as part of the client treatment team within their region.
- Provide behavioral support, milieu management and crisis prevention and management for sites within their region.
- Participate in rotation of on call duties within their region.
- Ensure competencies for nursing staff are completed upon hire, annually, and additionally as needed.
- Collaborate with Compliance, RMD, and Site Directors to ensure infection control goals are met.
- Collaborate with RMD in the implementation of innovative strategies to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate and support Site Directors on day- to- day nurse personnel management challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate with medical and psychiatric providers in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of medical programs.
- Responsible for leading required nursing team meetings within site and region:
- Weekly meetings with Lead Nurses.
- Monthly 1:1 meeting with individual nursing staff and as needed.
- Monthly meetings with all nursing staff within their region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required. Master’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.
- Licensed as an RN in Washington state (can include interstate compact agreements).
- Must have minimum 5 years leadership and/or management experience.
- Must have valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire
- Washington State Food and Beverage Service Worker’s Permit obtained within 14 days of employment.

- Holidays: Employees not working at a residential or inpatient facility are eligible for 7 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday Non-exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility will receive premium pay at a rate of double time if they are scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
- Employees hired on or after February 20, 2022, will receive premium pay at a rate of time and-a-half if scheduled and work on one of ten designated holidays.
- Exempt employees working at a residential or inpatient facility who are scheduled to work on a holiday may take the holiday on a different day during the same pay period. Additionally, non-exempt employees are eligible for various shift and weekend differentials.
