We are seeking a dynamic Technical Support Team Lead to oversee and contribute to the technical management and development of the Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS). This role involves leading a small team of developers/testers, collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors, and providing exceptional technical support to both internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct business analysis to streamline technology processes and update corporate IT policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Coordinate a team of 2-3 developers/testers, guiding project work and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, liaising with external vendors for tasks such as vulnerability assessments and system patching.
  • Keen to continuously learn and adapt to evolving business and technology landscapes within EIS.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the GATS system, covering aspects such as database, UI, and interface design.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including business leads and customer support teams, to gather requirements, develop business and design documents, and refine SQL queries to aid business operations.
  • Deep understanding of the GATS system, EIS operations, and the broader renewable energy market.
  • Proven track record in supervising development teams, particularly in UI enhancements and bug fixing.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes, including the creation and implementation of test plans.
  • Lead technical support efforts, ensuring efficient operation and support for the GATS system, a cornerstone in renewable energy tracking.
  • Rigorous testing standards for both API and UI components of the GATS system.
  • Strong technical support skills, capable of assisting users with various issues.
  • Ability to quickly grasp EIS-specific jargon and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Skilled in SQL, with the ability to create and debug code, including queries and stored procedures.
  • Adaptability to shift priorities as necessary.
  • Solid grasp of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Basic knowledge of electricity markets.
  • Excellent customer support skills, including effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Eagerness to grow and expand responsibilities within the role.
  • Proficiency in debugging and maintaining complex systems, especially those with limited documentation.
  • Prior experience as a .Net developer preferred, with familiarity in:
    • C#
    • .NET framework
    • ASP.NET and MVC
    • SOAP
    • SQL Server
    • MS Office
