Estimator - Excavation Project Manager

This is a full-time position with a balanced mix of in-field and office work. You'll spend about 50% of your time on job sites, overseeing production, meeting clients, and evaluating project progress. The other 50% will be spent in the office producing estimates, managing schedules, ordering supplies, and communicating with clients and field teams. Your typical workweek will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but flexibility is important as project needs arise.

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER

Each day in this role will be dynamic and engaging. You will start by reviewing the details of upcoming projects and finalizing cost estimates based on drawings, site assessments, and specifications. On job sites, you'll supervise crews, ensuring that projects are moving forward on schedule and within budget. You'll also work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, coordinating everything from resources to safety compliance. As you monitor the progress of your projects, you'll keep communication lines open with clients, providing regular updates on timelines and budgets. In the office, you'll refine schedules, order necessary supplies, verify field reports, and adjust as needed to keep things on track.

ESTIMATOR - EXCAVATION PROJECT MANAGER: WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• 4 years of experience as an Excavation Project Manager, Estimator, or in a similar role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of excavation methods, equipment, and materials
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, drawings, and specifications
• Proficiency in estimating software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards

A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
