Cabinet Maker
Department: Wood Assembly

S & G Manufacturing is a combination metal fabrication and woodworking facility that builds custom and made-to-order furnishings and millwork for the restaurant, retail, and hospitality industries.

General Description
Employees assigned to the Wood Assembly area operate power hand tools such as drills, screw guns, staple guns, and routers to assemble wood fixtures such as cabinets, counters, condiment stands, trash cans, bars, and walls.

Work Environment
Manufacturing shop environment

Work Schedule
Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Check equipment for working order and work area for safety.
• Read work order, cut bill, and blueprints, as necessary.
• Operate hand tools.
• Apply laminate and wood veneer to products.
• Assemble production and custom cabinets and fixtures.
• Maintain clean work area.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read English
Experience: Work with laminate, veneer, Corian and solid wood a plus; ability to read blueprints

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
