Junior High Math Teacher, 6th Grade Homeroom for the 2024/2025 School Year St. Robert School is situated in a quiet neighborhood one block away from San Bruno Park and serves a diverse community of over 300 students from Kindergarten through eighth grade. Our school and parish community is a welcoming one where our teachers collaborate with each other and partner with our families to develop R.E.A.L kids-Respectful Christians, Effective Communicators, Accountable Citizens, and Lifelong Learners.
St. Robert School is seeking a Junior High Math Teacher. If hired, the candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons in mathematics to students in 5th through 8th grade. With support, the candidate will also plan and lead field trips with the 6th grade class, and have the responsibilities of being the point of contact between 6th grade families and the school.
Required Qualifications: •BA/BS Degree •Willingness to embrace the Catholic values and traditions of Saint Robert Catholic School •Enthusiasm for teamwork, collaboration •Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications •Experience teaching in a Catholic School (and ideally at the junior high level) •Valid California teaching credential (or equivalent) •MA Degree
Responsibilities •Support St. Robert Catholic School's mission, philosophy, and Student Learning Expectations (R.E.A.L. Kids) •Prepare, deliver, and assess engaging and interactive lessons/units based on Archdiocesan Curriculum Guidelines •Document student learning and report and communicate to administration and with parents regularly •Collaborate with junior high team •Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, students, and parents •Supervise students inside and outside of the classroom, maintaining good rapport with students and effective classroom management •Engage with the school and parish community of S Requirements / Qualifications
