The Opportunity
We are seeking engineering interns for Summer 2025! As an intern, you will gain valuable work experience in your field of study by working side by side with fellow Sambatek professionals on current and real life projects.
The engineering internship is available in the following markets within the Twin Cities metro:
- Land Development - Commercial/Residential (site planning, grading, erosion control, stormwater management, utility design)
- Public Services - Transportation (traffic, planning, water resources, highway design)
- Public Services - Municipal (municipal design, construction inspection)
- Public Services - Water/Wastewater (planning and design of drinking water and wastewater systems for municipalities and industries)
Work Location: In office for maximum learning potential
The qualified candidate will:
- Provide team support in production of all project deliverables
- Support colleagues in meeting project goals and deadlines
- Comply and help with the enforcement of company standards, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
- In progress Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Junior or Senior status preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong self-motivation, communication skills (verbal and written), leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively to manage multiple tasks on variety of projects with attention to detail
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment
- Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
