Job Summary:
The Spa Manager will be responsible for all aspects relating to managing daily spa operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, meeting financial goals, and being an effective and supportive leader.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Director to create financial and operational success of the Spa, Salon, & Retail.
- Monitor and aggressively affect revenue goals.
- Oversight of those in Supervisor roles.
- Analyze customer service strengths and weaknesses and partner with the Director to develop plans as needed.
- Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of service and staff activities.
- Assist Director with development and updated department rules, regulations, and policies.
- Responsibility for fiscal and budgetary management, including payroll.
- Assist with development, coordinating, and operate service programs.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Develop and implement short- and long-range goals and objectives for teams.
- Keep an accurate record of professional invoices, maintaining or creating savings for budget goals.
- Ensure equipment in departments is in working order.
- Effectively communicate to staff all aspects of spa and hotel business.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the Women’s and Men’s locker areas.
- Maintain open communication with staff including being receptive to personal feedback from staff.
- Create a positive, fun, management-friendly action-oriented image with staff.
- Enforce positive praise and recognition to make a change.
- Timely training and provide continuing education for Reception team, Attendants and Provider staff.
- Responsible for keeping staff well trained in sales techniques and treatments.
- Other duties/tasks as assigned.

- Comply with Sandestin Resort Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
- Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
Education and Experience:
- Two (2) years of leadership experience in a spa setting.
- Previous spa and/or hotel experience preferred.
- Three years of customer service-related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the spa and resort for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, such as spa supplies or equipment.
- Flexibility to bend, kneel, and reach overhead to organize products and ensure a clean workspace.
- Stamina to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
- Fine motor skills for handling small tools or materials, such as scheduling devices or retail displays.
- Visual acuity to inspect cleanliness and the overall condition of spa facilities.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to humid or aromatic spa treatments.
