Position Summary
The Pool Service Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair of residential and commercial swimming pools. This role involves visiting multiple locations daily, testing and balancing pool chemistry, removing debris, and ensuring safe, clean, and functioning pool environments. Perform all job functions independently with no on-site supervision (after orientation and training).
Key Responsibilities
Pool Cleaning & Maintenance: Skim, vacuum, and brush pools; empty and clean baskets and filters; check and maintain pool equipment (pumps, filters, etc.).
Water Testing & Treatment: Test water chemistry, add chemicals to balance pH/chlorine/alkalinity levels, and maintain accurate service logs.
Inspections & Basic Repairs: Conduct regular equipment inspections, troubleshoot minor mechanical or plumbing issues, and provide basic repair services or recommendations.
Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answer basic pool maintenance questions, and provide feedback or suggestions for pool care.
Route Management: Organize and maintain an efficient daily route schedule, manage inventory of supplies and chemicals, and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations when handling chemicals or operating equipment, and maintain an orderly work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: High school diploma or GED required
Experience: Previous experience in pool cleaning, water treatment, or plumbing is a plus, but not required. Will train the right candidate.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools and equipment for pool cleaning and general repairs, or a willingness to learn quickly.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented, capable of maintaining accurate chemical logs and noticing small issues before they become big problems.
Customer Service Skills: Friendly, professional demeanor with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Driver’s License & MVR: Must have a valid AZ driver’s license and maintain a clean Arizona Motor Vehicle Record.
