Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and securities law requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payroll disbursements.
- Utilize PeopleSoft for accounting functions, including data entry and report generation.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with corporate finance teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide support for LIHTC compliance reporting as needed.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Required
- 2-3 years' experience in accounting
- ADP experience (preferred)
- QuickBooks experience (preferred)
- Healthcare experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and securities law is a plus.
- Experience with PeopleSoft or similar accounting software is advantageous.
- Excellent written communication skills for effective financial report writing.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of corporate finance practices is beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $26.00 - $35.00 Hourly
