Head of Training and Development in Business English (Taipei, Taiwan)

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Head of Training and Development to lead our dynamic training team in Taipei, Taiwan. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the performance of a team of over 20 trainers, ensuring the development of tailored training resources and solutions that meet our clients’ needs. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the training team’s performance to ensure alignment with client expectations.
• Identify and implement professional development opportunities for trainers.
• Assess the training team’s support resources and develop effective solutions to address any gaps.
• Monitor staffing and recruitment needs, ensuring the team’s capacity meets business demands.
• Conduct onboarding and orientation for new trainers.
• Revise and develop operational procedures to enhance training delivery.
• Oversee all aspects of workshop delivery, ensuring quality and relevance of training materials.
• Collaborate with Client Management to customize proposals and training plans, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Attend client meetings alongside Business Development colleagues to provide insights on course design and delivery.
  
  

Required Skills

• Minimum five years of experience in B2B English training.
• CELTA certification or a relevant degree (e.g., MA in TEFL/TESOL or Applied Linguistics).
• At least five years of experience in team management.
• Proven experience in designing training courses.
• Comprehensive knowledge of language teaching methodologies.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail.
• Competency in MS Office and Google Workspace applications.
• Effective project management abilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of experience in English training, particularly in a B2B context.
• Experience with testing and assessment is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Client-focused approach and dedication to delivering high-quality services.
• Intermediate proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
