Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide top-notch administrative support to our Second Vice President/Chief Risk Officer. In this fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, you will be the backbone that keeps everything running smoothly. To thrive in this role, you must be a proactive self-starter, adaptable to change, and possess exceptional attention to detail. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential in building a true partnership with the principal you support. Together, you will drive value, making a significant impact on the organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performs moderately complex administrative duties, often requiring a higher level of confidentiality and considerable skill and knowledge of the organization policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates leader's daily tasks and calendar. Gather’s information for scheduling from a variety of sources and exercises judgement when approaching conflicting meetings. Suggests appropriate meeting times relative to other meetings and critical attendees. May act independently in determining priority/resolving conflicts.
  • Resolves routine and sometimes complex inquiries. Exercises moderate level of autonomy in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • May conduct research for senior leader(s) or senior individual contributor(s); compiles and summarizes information and provides recommendations.
  • Prepares meeting materials by editing and organizing agenda, special reports, presentations, and meeting minutes with general direction from leader(s).
  • Subject matter expert on processes and procedures.
  • May coordinate events and functional projects in support of broader function needs.
  • Acts as liaison for technology and is often an early adopter. Identifies opportunities for the use of enhanced technology, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Professionalism with demonstrated administrative support experience, strong service orientation, communication, interpersonal and persuasive skills for effective interaction with various levels of people internally and externally.
  • Ability to take initiative, with a strong sense of urgency, assertiveness and willingness to accept a wide range of responsibilities.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently. Ability to independently plan ahead work/tasks to keep senior management and projects on schedule, despite numerous conflicting priorities and changes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compose correspondence and other documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment and problem solving while working independently with critical, confidential and time sensitive information.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:
$20.91 - $36.54
Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
