Contract to Hire
We are seeking a skilled Access Control/CCTV Project Technician with expertise in CCTV camera installation, access control systems, and fiber optic cabling installation and termination. This role requires comfort working at heights of 50-60 feet using boom lifts.

Requirements:
- Proven field installation experience in the security environment, especially CCTV systems
- Knowledge of fiber optic cabling standards, installation, and termination (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and site maps
- Data cabling experience is a plus
- Availability to travel as needed
- Experience in designing and planning technical solutions for pre-installation opportunities
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and providing technical escalation support on-site and remotely
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Possession of basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during the initial training period
- Proficiency with computers, including email, spreadsheets, and internal systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the past three years)
Note: State-required Physical Security or Life Safety licenses are not mandatory but are welcomed if applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment for:
- IP Video systems
- IP Physical Access Control systems
- LAN/WAN infrastructure
- Wireless LAN systems
- Perform low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling into concrete walls and performing limited conduit work
- Ensure all wiring, connections, and installations meet customer satisfaction and contractual obligations
- Collaborate with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager to maintain schedules and manage equipment delivery
- Conduct functional tests of newly installed systems and devices to ensure operational readiness
- Troubleshoot installations to ensure compliance with legal, insurance, and regulatory requirements
