What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Press/Graphic Designer position at Seymour of Sycamore?
Job Responsibilities: Provides Pre-Press Support and some DesignServices to the on site Print Shop. Creates and revises all printed materials used by the Company.
Job Duties:
- Performs Pre Press Work.
- Pulls and prepares Work Orders for Machine Operators.
- Run plates for the large Printing Presses.
- Assists with the design and implementation of product branding for the Company.
- Assists with designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
- Digitizes and edits photographs for website and other business needs.
- Performs Quality Control for customer provided designs and artwork.
- Creates and edits Power Point Presentations for the Sales Office.
- Reviews final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain all graphic related filing
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Skills/Qualifications: Experience with Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, and Photo Shop a plus. Should have knowledge of both PC and Mac Operating Systems. Familiarity with Pre Press Software desired. Should possess Customer Service Skills, and have a Quality Focus. Problem Solving Skills necessary. The ability to Multi-task and Attention to detail a must. Ability to lift at least 15lbs required. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
