Accounts Payable Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly phone greetings and appropriate routing of calls
• Sort and process purchase orders, delivery tickets and invoices with high degree of accuracy relating to multiple companies and jobs
• Meet deadlines for prior month invoice entries
• Accurately track due dates
• Provide aging information to owner for invoice payment selection
• Process selected invoice payments
• Verify account payable balances to monthly vendor statements
• Monitor utility payments for reasonableness
• Process credit card statements with verification of receipts
• Maintain an efficient filing system that will be conducive to audit testing
• Cross training to other duties as needed
• Greet visitors and offer refreshment
• All other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Minimum one year accounting department experience preferred but not required

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged exposure to computer screens, mobile phone screens
• Visually seeing equipment operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)
• Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing or sitting for long periods of time
• Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work
• Lifting 25 lb. objects as required
• Carrying 25 lb. objects as required
• Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident
• Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments and holidays as required
