The Laundry Technician position provides cleaning for all Wardrobe properties and perform minor alterations as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent service to all customers including Cast, Stage Management, Producers, Costumes, and other team members to help ensure that all laundry needs are met.
- Perform daily laundering, ironing, minor repairs to show costumes and accessories.
- Return all properties to their designated locations in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in schedule 1 on 1 and departmental team meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
- A positive attitude, detailed-oriented, organized, good work ethic and works well as a part of a diverse team.
- Ability to work alone with the diligence to accomplish tasks without direct supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills with the desire to serve others.
- Ability to make quick decisions while remaining calm, positive, and professional throughout all work efforts and while under time constraints.
Education and/or Experience: Minimum Bachelor's degree and/or 2 years theatrical laundering preferred. Ability to hand sew and operate a sewing machine, required.
