JOB PURPOSE:
We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Plant Administrative Assistant. This role is based in our facility in Fort Pierce, Florida facility and reports to the Production Manager. This role will be responsible for various administrative duties including but not limited to entering production backflush, assisting with purchase orders and maintain inventory, supporting plant initiatives and other assignments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Maintain various spreadsheets and reports in support of Operations.
- Perform backflush for 308.
- Works with Purchaser to research for needed items. Also contacts vendors for orders, delivery dates.
- Handles the month end count entry for Materials and packaging items.
- Fills out and submits P-Req’s for various depts.
- Maintain Vendor files.
- Maintain, organize, and request various office supplies.
- Perform various clerical duties, including memo’s, notices, newsletters, employee communications and various reports.
- Organize and support various employee and site functions such as employee gatherings, meals, appreciation programs, as well as support charitable initiatives.
- Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by Management.
- Ordering and tracking supplies and material for our day-to-day operations.
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Words, Excel and SAP.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certificates
· High school education, or equivalency is required.
Technical Skills & Experience
· Minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative role.
· Manufacturing experience considered an asset.
· Microsoft Office and computer experience required.
. Experience with Info Flo and SAP considered an asset
COMPETENCIES:
· Verbal and written communication skills
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
· Strong Maths skills.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
· Regular communication with the Production Managers
· Occasional communication with vendors
WORKING CONDITIONS:
·Nearly always work indoors in an office environment with long periods of sitting
·Employee may experience progressive degrees of changing factors in the work process (changing work priorities, deadlines, accuracy, quotas, conflicting demands)
·Employee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/ bucket lift/other.
· May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
· Employee may be required to perform a Considerable level of specific tasks such as lifting to 50 lbs., muscular action, body movements, working positions, posture changes, visual attentiveness).
·Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, Class II High Visibility Vest, hearing protection, safety shoes.
·Input near misses/hazards made safe into Cority.
