Job Details

simpleroute Technology Alignment Engineers are integral to our success in delivering a path to stabilization for our client’s environments.  They work closely with clients to gain a better understanding of their business goals and present technology solutions that align with those goals as well as the standards set by simpleroute.  TAE’s will also be auditing to an ever-changing set of standards that they will assist in developing and from those audits will make recommendations to the vCIO for formal discussions with the clients.

As a Technology Alignment Engineer, you will conduct remote and on-site audits of client environments including infrastructure, networks, software, configurations, and much more.  These audits will be done in alignment with a set of internally maintained standards that you will work to keep up to date and evolve with the needs of our clients.  Your ability to clearly communicate these results to the other members of the team is the key to our success and is a main function of a TAE in our internal “ecosystem”.

Another key function of a Technology Alignment Engineer is onboarding new clients.  This is a process that involves coordination with the client Point of Contact as well as end-users, the internal team, and working towards a cutover day where simpleroute assumes responsibility for the client environment.

Being empathetic, confident, and thorough in your efforts through these interactions will leave some of the largest impressions on our clients and convey to them our ability to properly guide them to sound decision making.

Responsibilities

This role has an approximate workload breakdown as follows:

Remote/On-site client auditing 60%

Ongoing development of a set of standards to audit clients against 5%

A list of job responsibilities includes:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure that all client technology systems and processes comply with established standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Technology Audits: Conduct regular remote and on-site technology audits of client environments to identify areas of misalignment and recommend corrective actions to vCIO.

  • Project Management: Manage alignment projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.
  • Time Capture: Consistently enter 100% of your time at work in our Professional Services Automation software.  This allows us to better understand the impact clients have on our day to day.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to provide informed support and recommendations.
