Role: IT Service Desk Analyst
Location: Arden Hills, MN – Onsite
Position Type: Contract
Role Description:
- MCSA certification
- Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Splunk, Quest RMAD, Terraform, etc.
- Knowledge of incident management, problem management, and change management on BMC Remedy
Essential Skills:
- Support for 24/7/365:
- Monitor Windows and Active Directory (AD) Infrastructure Alerts
- Take remedial actions as per defined processes in the environment
- Project Work:
- Provision and decommission Windows OS on virtual machines or physical standalone servers
- DC Promotion/Demotion
- ADDS Migration
- Patching and Upgrades
- Incident Management:
- Respond to and resolve tickets before SLA breaches
- Infrastructure Maintenance:
- Update email and call details for downtime/non-downtime maintenance
- Server Maintenance:
- Setup blackouts and perform shutdown/reboot of servers as required during maintenance work
Desirable Skills:
- Windows Server Administration:
- Installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting related to booting, performance, and permissions
- File Share Permissions management
- Windows Server provisioning and decommissioning (VM/Physical)
- Server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
- Active Directory (AD) Administration:
- AD promotion/demotion, Group Policy (GP) creation/update, AD replication troubleshooting
- Extensive knowledge on AD Site services, replication, logon troubleshooting, and GP-related troubleshooting
- AD migration to the latest platform
- Azure AD Sync
- DNS/DHCP Administration:
- DNS record creation
- DHCP scope creation
- Virtualization Management:
- VCenter/ESXi installation, configuration, and management
- VROPS report creation
- VCenter/ESXi/VM performance troubleshooting
- Cloud Knowledge:
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure and cloud fundamentals
- ITIL Service Management:
- Exposure to incident, problem, and change management
- Work Environment Flexibility:
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including night shifts, in a 24x7 environment
- Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration:
- Knowledge sharing, escalation procedures, and collaboration skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.55 - $30.00 per hour
