Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mohs Tech to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Handle all duties in a timely manner
- Obtain and update the complete patient history and chief complaint
- Greet incoming patients and escort them to exam rooms
- Assist providers with medical & cosmetic procedures
- Provide and reinforce patient education following procedures and office visits
- Complete pathology requisition forms with complete and updated patient information
- Clean, organize and supply patient rooms
- Dispose of garbage and medical waste material
- Order laboratory supplies and store them appropriately.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste in accordance with regulations.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the medical director.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields required
- Dermatology experience is preferred, but not required for position.
- Training for medical and surgical procedures will be provided upon hiring.
- Customer service experience preferred
- Medical Assistant Certification required (will need to provide documentation)
- Ability to work well with providers to anticipate and support their needs
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- Excellent Communication skills and strong organizational skills are a must
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
