Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in payroll software.
Duties
· Collect/Process hours for all hourly employees from each department
· Collect/Process all trip envelopes for driver payroll
· Collect/Process all trip envelopes for Lease/Owner Operators
· Review Trial Payroll Reports
· Process Final Payroll Reports
· Assist/Support Billing Professional with Billing
· Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for over 200 employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
· Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. labor" home" work, overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports)
· Handle inputting all employee benefits and scheduling deductions.
· Input all PTO for both office and drivers.
· Assist with AP items
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiar with UKG system
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and management.
- A background in human resources is an advantage but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
