What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter - Commercial Construction position at Sletten Companies?
Sletten Construction is looking for Carpenters to support current construction projects in the state of Washington, in and around Puyallup.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must work quickly, productively and safely without error and consistently meet the production goals as set by the Foreman, Superintendent or Project Manager.
- Must consistently produce quality workmanship as judged by Company standards.
- Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 80 lbs.
- Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and jobsite in order to complete work.
- Alter, repair, and construct a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, window casings, stairways, and roofs.
- Tape and finish drywall.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company and support our goal of achieving zero accidents.
Qualifications
- Must be over 18
- Must have own transportation
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Ability to read structural plans and design documents
- Understanding of design/build concepts
- Must be willing to travel to job sites
Additional Information
- Wage rates are $25-$40/hour depending on experience
- Health insurance is provided after 3 months of continuous employment to the employee (family can be added for additional premium)
