What are the responsibilities and job description for the Not Your Average Childcare Position position at Small Hands Big Dreams?
Small Hands Big Dreams has a unique opportunity for someone ready for the next step in their early childhood teaching career. The Training and Curriculum Coordinator is a full-time position where you can continue to showcase your classroom expertise while role-modeling and extending your reach to all classrooms in the building ( infant - PreK). Though this is not a traditional in ratio daycare position; this IS an IN CLASSROOM position that requires high levels of energy and a passion for the art of teaching. Responsibilities include the following:
- Support and implement SHBD/CORA Educational philosophy of learning through the play
- Support and follow all policies and procedures of SHBD/ CORA
- Train and orient teachers on current and new policies , procedures and best practices
- Adapt training to meet the needs of teaching staff learning styles
- Understand and implement Centers educational philosophy and ensure the classroom that are assigned to model SUTQ indicators and can be used as an example
- Plan activities that are DAP
- Strategize with teaching staff solutions for behaviors and differing learning abilities
- Cover classroom ratio as needed
- Provide a safe, clean, loving, warm and caring environment
- Maintain open communication between parents and other employees
- Update center director, assistant director and Director of Training (DOT) on SUTQ opportunities for improvement and success
V. Additional Responsibilities
- Complete and maintain all paperwork for employee files
- Follow core values: Passionate customer focus, fun, teamwork, innovation, and integrity
- Attends all staffing meetings and center functions
- Other duties as assigned
