smartdept. is searching for a Copywriter for a global health and wellness client located in Ada, Michigan. The ideal candidate will come with 3-5 years of experience. This is a full-time, onsite, 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $25-$35/hour depending on experience level and fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for tone/voice of communications for assigned products, brands, and associated communication materials
- Develop written content for all forms of media, assuring end result meets strategy and marketing goals set by brand management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, which may include Brand Managers, Art Directors, Account Representatives, Project Managers, Traffic and external resources
- Assure copy adheres to proper spelling, grammar, and applicable style & brand guides
- Assure quality through consistent proofreading
- Develop and maintain written communication style guides, including communication of changes to appropriate users
What You’ll Need:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in the beauty, health, and wellness industries
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to write for a variety of audiences and formats.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and SEO best practices.
- Creative thinking and the ability to translate ideas into impactful content.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and content management systems
