Solar Transport is searching for a Fleet Manager to oversee and manage, all day-to-day driver and service-related activities and functions for assigned geographical/terminal driver locations. The Fleet Manager will ensure all driver needs are met concerning on-time performance, error-free service, and driver satisfaction. What You'll Do:
- Oversee and manage all, day-to-day driver and service-related activities and functions for assigned geographical /terminal driver locations including but not limited to, daily planning, and dispatch and dispatch of customer orders, ensuring that all orders are dispatched and requested delivery windows are met
- Manager the day-to-day issues, regarding service, equipment management (in conjunction with Region Manager), driver-related issues, and service deviations
- Works with Central Planning Operations Manager/Senior Fleet Manager to analyze and provide solutions for chronic problems within operation, including performance to customer expectations, efficiency concerns, and driver performance
- Able to navigate Solar’s TMW dispatching software as well as multiple screens to utilize Email, customer websites, and dispatching software
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift including weekends
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 1 yrs. experience in a Fleet Manager position at a logistics company preferred
- Experience in the transportation industry preferred
- Previous managerial experience preferred

- Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
- A history of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
