Sound Originals Photo & Video is a major national wedding photography and videography studio. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance and Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our HR functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR practices, and the ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee basic accounting and billing functions, including customer payments, vendor payments, and contractor payments.
- Oversee state compliance and sales tax reporting.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee recruitment processes, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including IFRS and IAS standards.
- Conduct performance management processes, providing guidance to managers on employee evaluations.
- Collaborate with finance teams on revenue management and financial planning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR databases effectively.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
Experience
- Proven experience in human resources management or related fields.
- Proven finance and billing experience as an accounting clerk or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and financial management practices.
- Familiarity with account analysis, forecasting, and investment strategies is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills to assess HR data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
