Southland Polymers is seeking an experienced, high-energy, and motivated salesperson to lead the Arizona regional sales efforts for a growing distributor of engineering and commodity thermoplastics with 45 years of history.
The ideal candidate should be outgoing, aggressive in work habits, and have a proven record of success. We are looking for someone who can grow the territory and expand our footprint in the Southwest.
Position: Regional Account Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop both market and customer-specific sales plans.
- Maintain a constantly updated list of leads and targets, ensuring the sales pipeline is always full.
- Travel regularly to customer sites to conduct business in person.
- Collaborate with the management team to craft and implement sales and closing strategies, directly assisting with closes when necessary.
- Aggressively follow up on leads and track sales pipeline progress.
- Develop and execute quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Report to management daily, or more frequently as business activities and deal flow warrant.
- Use CRM (Salesforce.com) to actively track, monitor, and manage performance among the sales team.
- Up to 50% travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience selling technical products.
- At least 8 years in an industrial sales capacity.
- Prior experience selling industrial products in a B2B setting.
- Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce.com), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
