What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Science Teacher position at Southside Christian School?
Job Overview
Southside Christian School is looking for a middle school science teacher to join our team starting in January.
Our middle school science teacher must have the knowledge and experience to effectively teach the learning objectives. The science department primarily utilizes BJU textbooks. Experience with that curriculum is helpful but is not required. The position would teach two sections of 6th grade science, two sections of 7th grade science, and two sections of 8th grade science. Each section is 45 minutes a day.
Southside Christian School is a discipleship school that hires Christian teachers and enrolls students whose parents have provided a letter of reference from a church of like-faith. We currently have over 100 local churches represented in the student body.
In addition to teaching science, we are seeking teachers with a heart to invest in the lives of students. Our mission is to impact the next generation for Christ by developing intellectual leaders who are developing a Biblical worldview.
The teacher will utilize Curriculum Trak, RenWeb, and the Google Workspace Apps. Training will be provided to ensure the teacher is comfortable with these programs, and the teacher may have the textbooks at the end of May to begin reviewing.
