POSITION SUMMARY:
The Credentialing Specialist applies business knowledge and human resources expertise in a variety of functional areas. Primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of credentialing for clinical staff for MiHealth, which involves review of new hire documents and then monitoring ongoing credentialing requirements.
Position will support MiHealth leaders during program audits by being present to assist with verification of credentialing documents and training requirements, and to provide other information as may be required.
Position will participate as a key member of the cross-functional team for maintaining CARF accreditation for MiHealth & also the Health and Safety Committee.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or at least five years of demonstrated human resources work experience
- Three years’ work experience as a human resources professional managing employee record maintenance; with a focus on credentialing of mental health providers
- Demonstrated familiarity with software systems for data management and reporting
- Prior union experience is helpful
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-Certified Professional (CP) preferred
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance
COMPENSATION:
$50,000 to $60,000 (Full-time, Non-Union)
