Project Coordinator

Job Description:

SPAAN Tech is seeking a Project Coordinator - Wireless Infrastructure to join our growing team in Chicago. This full-time role is perfect for professionals with a background in wireless infrastructure, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field who also possess strong data administration and excel skills. As a Project Coordinator for Wireless Infrastructure, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating wireless infrastructure construction drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations and keeping all project documents and information in a centralized project system.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work closely with engineers, project managers, and applicants to resolve technical challenges. Strong data management and excel proficiency are essential for tracking project progress, generating reports, and resolving technical issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate wireless infrastructure construction drawings, underground site design and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Assess project feasibility and identify potential issues, providing actionable recommendations for site location viability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure designs meet technical requirements, zoning laws, and permitting processes.
• Use Excel and other data management tools to track project status and generate detailed reports for internal teams.
• Maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company standards.
• Stay current with trends in wireless technologies (4G, 5G, small cells, DAS) and related regulatory changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, OR at least three years of equivalent experience in the wireless industry with Verizon, ATT, Crown Castle or T-mobile.
• Proven experience working with wireless technologies (4G, 5G, Wi-Fi), RF planning principles, and network architecture.
• Experienced in Plan Review
• Strong data administration skills with the ability to organize, manage, and manipulate large data sets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets, use formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with local and federal regulations, zoning laws, and permitting requirements for wireless infrastructure projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with wireless design software/tools (AutoCAD, iBwave, RF planning tools, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on large-scale wireless infrastructure projects, including 5G deployments, small cell networks, or DAS systems.
• Experience in project oversight, construction management, and dealing with permitting and zoning authorities.
