What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contractual Cook position at Spectrum Human Services?
What you will be doing:
Prepares meals for a moderately large group of people; and complies with the service standards in Public Acts 238 and 372 (Child Protection Law).
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
B. Experience/Skill: Some experience in the preparation and cooking of food on a large scale of no less than 20 people; completion of a standard trade school course, or any equivalent. Combination of experience and training. Possess some knowledge of food values and nutrition; working knowledge of special diets and their preparation; ability to keep records and make reports; capable of maintaining related equipment, inventories, preparation of orders, and receiving the necessary supplies.
C. Professional License: Certified in Michigan as a food handler preferred.
D. Transportation: Reliable and ongoing as required. Valid unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License, with no restrictions as to when and where the Worker may drive. An up-to-date (at the time of hire) copy of their driving record. Good driving record. Provide proof of vehicle insurance coverage on the vehicle used.
E. Other: Satisfactory MDHHS Central Registry Clearance and State Police Record Check. Negative TB test; satisfactory physical exam and a negative drug test.
