Facility Maintenance

As a Facility Maintenance, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and complete general building cleaning and maintenance.

• Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Perform various repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing and electrical, equipment installations, welding, electrical repairs.
• Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceiling, ceiling tiles, carpentry and other parts of the buildings.
• Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
• Analyze company equipment to detect any problems and report these issues if they aren’t functioning properly.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Availability to work five days eight to ten hours shifts from Monday to Fridays and overtime hours as needed. Availability of working on Saturdays and Sundays as per the department schedule.
• Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. Requires physical lifting (may require lifting in excess of 50 pounds).
• Must be able to understand verbal and visual instructions and work with industrial food processing chemicals.
• Must be able to work in Hot and Cold environments.
• Must be able to work in noisy areas.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment, general contractor or handymen experience.
• Utilize knowledge and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills that are necessary to work in a customer-focused working environment.

Abilities and Skills:

• Basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry knowledge.
• Ability to use safety common power and hand tools.
• Experience installing and replacing plumbing systems.
• Strong commitment to company goals and values.
• Friendly and positive attitude.
• Good communicator and listener.
• General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service.
