We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing medical dictation from audio recordings made by healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings from physicians and other healthcare providers into written reports.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of transcriptions by reviewing documents for errors or omissions.
- Familiarize yourself with various medical office procedures to enhance transcription efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to clarify any unclear dictations or terminology.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and practices to ensure high-quality documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical transcription or a related field is preferred. 70 words per minute required .
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with transcription software and equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
