Job Description
The Service Desk Specialist I is responsible for supporting the productivity of company staff by ensuring they have the proper and functioning IT equipment, and timely resolving or escalating issues as they arise.
The essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide technology resources to support the onboarding of all new employees.
- Monitors ticketing system to ensures timely resolution of problems while ensuring that customers are satisfied
- Ensures that status of tickets and project tasks are kept up to date.
- Track, route and redirect problems to the correct resources
- Walk customers through problem solving process where appropriate
- Accurately communicates pertinent information.
- Solves problems and makes decisions on a daily basis relative to Service Desk responsibilities.
- Recommends procedure modifications and or improvements to increase the efficiency of the organization.
- The employee must be available to work on-site at the downtown Kansas City headquarters between the hours of 7am-5pm CST.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
