Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Human Resource Manager is a key member of the St. Elizabeth Adult Day Care leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, training, and organizational development. The Human Resource Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring adherence to employment laws, and supporting strategic HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess staffing needs and workforce planning.
- Maintain accurate job descriptions and ensure competitive compensation structures.
Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the organization's mission and values.
- Implement and enforce workplace policies in accordance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys and develop strategies to enhance job satisfaction.
Compliance & Legal Regulations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, employment standards, and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Manage internal investigations related to employee conduct and performance.
- Oversee recordkeeping for HR-related documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
Compensation, Benefits, & Payroll Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Facilitate accurate payroll processing and compliance with wage laws.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive salary structures and employee benefits.
Training & Professional Development
- Develop and coordinate employee training programs, including leadership development and compliance training.
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend professional development opportunities.
HR Strategy & Organizational Development
- Develop HR strategies that align with the organization's mission, vision, and long-term goals.
- Advise leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.
- Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, employee satisfaction) and implement data-driven improvements.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the overall success of the organization.
- Responsibilities and tasks may evolve based on business needs, and employees are expected to be flexible and adaptable in fulfilling their role.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in human resources management and talent acquisition
- Experience in managing employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and talent acquisition.
- Valid Drivers License
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of federal and Missouri labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC, HIPAA, OSHA).
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ADP payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strategic thinker with experience in HR policy development and implementation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Accountability:
- Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
- Provides HR leadership and support across all departments within the organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,372.00 - $70,000.00 per year
