Human Resource Manager
Beelman Truck Co. is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager for our headquarters located on Highway 15 between Belleville and East St Louis, IL. We are a large, dry bulk transportation company looking for a self-motivated, knowledgeable candidate. The HR Manager will help drive results and support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Provide HR programs and support to Beelman employees
· Ensure successful adoption and continuation of programs and processes
· Improve and execute effective hiring and retention programs for all NON-Driver positions
· Build and improve on HR policies and procedures, including but not limited to – on-boarding processes, pre-employment and exit interviews, and performance management
· Collaborate with all departments to ensure Beelman employees are working safely and are aware and practice all policies and procedures
· Update and maintain handbooks for all Divisions
· Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for various positions across all Divisions
· Update and maintain required training – e.g. Sexual Harassment
· Update and maintain safety plans – e.g. Emergency plans, evacuation plans, etc.
· Maintain unemployment claims list for all Divisions
· Track Covid cases and return to work dates
· Main point of contact for all employee issues and questions/concerns about benefits – must have a complete knowledge of all benefits offered, including 401 (K)
Job Requirements:
· 4 years of HR experience including employee benefits management
· Knowledge in the trucking industry
· Creative problem solving & innovating thinking – able to identify issues and concerns and provide logical and efficient solutions
· High attention to detail
· Ability to work at a fast pace – including a timely turnaround on any questions/concerns that are proposed
· Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build internal relationships
· Team player with a high sense of ownership and positive attitude
· Pay is negotiable, starting at $85,000.00 annually.
