  • Support and participate in SHWC programming, including outreach to the college community on topics of mental health and overall wellness.
  • Participate in staff and clinical team meetings.
  • Remain current on emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in psychiatry.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and SHWC policies and procedures.
  • Be teachable with colleagues and patients and demonstrate a positive attitude as a representative of the SHWC—on campus and in the larger community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent understanding of the developmental and mental health challenges affecting emerging adults, as well as ability to differentiate psychiatric presentations of medical conditions from psychiatric disorders.
  • Experience working with dual-diagnosis patients and those experiencing suicidality.
  • Ability to discuss medical information with patients and families in an understandable manner with a high degree of tact.
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries as an effective member of a collaborative team.
