St. John’s Episcopal Church, located in West Roseville, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented part-time Parish Administrator to join our church team. Working under the guidance of the Church Rector, the Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the church, ensuring that administrative, financial, and facility management tasks are executed efficiently.
This role is key in supporting the church’s ministry by managing its resources, coordinating with church staff and volunteers, and ensuring the smooth functioning of church activities and programs. The Administrator will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks including:
- Administration of the church office/clerical support duties
- Financial management of church finances including bookkeeping, budgeting, and some financial reporting
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including donations and tithes
- Provide administrative support to the Rector and other ministry leaders
- Manage special projects and events as directed by church leadership
- Collaborating with and supporting the Communications Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative or office management experience, preferably in a church or non-profit setting.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office 365 and virtual meeting software (Zoom)
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and bookkeeping (QuickBooks or similar software experience preferred).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage staff and volunteers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive matters.
- Familiarity with church operations, values, and culture.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working on-site during church office hours, with some flexibility for weekend and evening work as needed.
- The Church Administrator may occasionally need to attend or support special church events or meetings outside of regular office hours (but is not expected to become a member of the Parish).
Benefits: Employees working between 1,000-1,500 hours per year are eligible to voluntarily enroll in the benefits offered through the denominational health plan.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9 am – 1pm)

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
