Courses to be taught: Applied Voice, Fundamentals of Music Theory, Music Theory, Sight Singing, and Musical Theater Vocal Company Minimum Qualifications & Brief Description of Duties: Master’s degree in Musical Theater and/or Music, Chorale, Composition, Performance, or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in a combination of these qualifying fields. Florida School of the Arts at St. Johns River State College is seeking a full time Musical Theater Instructor with a strong commitment to teaching foundation level classes in a small and highly collaborative arts school environment. As one of two full-time Musical Theater instructors, you have the opportunity to teach a variety of voice, music, and performance-based classes. Experience that reflects a record of excellence in creative achievement and a commitment to student success is essential. Musical Theater faculty work to support two of the seven shows in our production season. Additional duties include student mentoring, assisting in recruiting efforts, departmental meetings, and committee work. Florida School of the Arts instructors have a unique opportunity to prepare aspiring artists for careers in the arts or for baccalaureate degrees. Come join our team!
