What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Coordinator position at St. Josephs Medical Center?
Summary: Under Minimal supervision, manages executive to mid-level administrative tasks including accounting and administrative function, making independent decisions for the administrative staff, regularly exercising discretion and judgment in work. Performs diversified special assignments, and administrative tasks. The tasks are often specialized and technical. Must be able to keep all matters confidential.
Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently supports and communicates the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. Joseph Medical Center. Upholds the Standards of Conduct and Corporate Compliance. Consistently follows facility guidelines and procedures in performance. Assist with payroll and bill reconciliation activities. Provides confidential research and administrative support on special projects by preparing data, reports, and accessing information. Maintains all hospital licensure and contracts in database including sending reminders regarding upcoming expirations. Maintains business and travel expenditure/reimbursement records. Maintains payroll and attendance for various departments that report to their immediate supervisor. Processes all physician and other healthcare entity monthly payments in compliance with contracts. Works with the Executive Administrative Assistant to coordinate schedules to ensure the Administrative Suite is covered.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Healthcare experience, preferably in heavy public contact area dealing with issues and concerns in healthcare is preferred.
Education & Training: Bachelor's Degree Business training preferred.
Skills: Technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills relevant to area in order to effectively communicate with physicians, health team members, patients and families. Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision, in order to independently carry out the duties of the position. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Additional languages preferred with strong emphasis on Spanish.
