Responsibilities
The Barrow Global Medical Director oversees the general administration of the program including the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, counseling, and evaluation of the scholars. The program director provides transformative leadership and program management for strategic projects and support the development and standardization of project management processes, tools and best practices. In coordination with BNI leaders, evaluates under-served countries that would benefit from the BNI scholars program to determine if resources and conditions in a given country are adequate to support a scholar. Once a country is selected, this position cultivates relationships remotely and in-person with the government of the country and with private organizations in the country to secure the resources needed to support the scholar, including evaluation selection, and development of teaching sites. Serves as a role model to scholars by demonstrating clinical excellence, professionalism, maturity, effective communication skills, and sound judgment. Represents the program in philanthropic and charitable fundraising activities and events as needed. Performs other such reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time by the BNI President & CEO and the BNI Chief Medical Officer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepares a written curriculum, which outlines the goals and objectives of the program, describes the clinical and educational elements of the program, and describes teaching methods. Revises the curriculum when needed, and tailors content by the clinical discipline and region of the world to optimize the learning opportunity for each scholar.

Oversees the general administration of the program including the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, counseling, and evaluation of the scholars.

In collaboration with BNI leader, ensures that scholars comply with the federal and state legal and regulatory requirements for the appropriate short-term visa to the United States, including adequate prior education and training, and competency in oral and written English.
- Assists BNI leaders with preparing the forms and/or written certifications required by the U.S. State Department to secure short-term physician visas.

Education

Pay Range
$80.00 - $750.25/hr
