The Administration Department is seeking a full-time Facilities Specialist to perform under the supervision of the Manger, Facilities, to perform a wide variety of duties in support of the planning, design, construction, repair and maintenance of district facility projects. Serves as a liaison between senior staff and contractors, architects, and others as directed. Compiles information and prepares and maintains related records, files and reports.

Hours:Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Evenings and weekends may be required
Essential Responsibilities:
Assists the Manager, Facilities and Administration staff in facility-related projects, programs, and other Library related tasks to further Library goals..
Provides statistical analysis and research results to support Library goals and objectives.
Assists in compiling information needed for the development of bid documents to further Library initiatives.
Performs a variety of day-to-day tasks to provide assistance and support to Manager, Facilities and Administrative staff.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; degree in a technical field (engineering, architecture, construction management, etc.) preferred
Ability to work together with all levels of personnel in a professional manner, whether in the Library or working with other organizations
Experience with building design, construction drawings and specifications
Ability to read and comment on construction drawings and specifications
Ability to manage several projects at one time, establishing priorities as needed
Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers
Must possess good judgement, analytical, and problem solving skills
Must possess excellent communication, organization and project management skills
