What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Nursing -ADON/RN position at St. Petersburg Nursing & Rehabilitation?
The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for education of nursing staff in the center. He/she directs, plans, and coordinates education of professional Nursing and auxiliary Nursing personnel. The Assistant Director of Nursing interprets center policies and regulations to all Nursing personnel and ensures compliance, as well as analyzes and evaluates Nursing and related services rendered to improve quality of customer care and to better utilize staff time and abilities. The Assistant Director of Nursing also ensures that infection control regulations are followed by the center.
ADON Responsibilities
- We are looking to hire a highly motivated RN with a staff development and education background.
- Will also function as the Infection Prevention and Infection Control Nurse.
- Will assist in hiring, retention, discipline, and performance evals of clinical staff.
- Must be able to meet deadlines for projects and for reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
- This is a salaried position that must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Nurse-On-Call on a rotational basis.
ADON Requirements
- Valid RN nursing license
- Must have Infection Preventionist Certification/Knowledge of Infection Control procedures
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate Point Click Care software
- Valid CPR & IV Certification
- Clinical Leadership experience required
