Job Function:

The job of the Stäubli Quality Systems Specialist is to continually develop, implement, and maintain the quality systems that support the operation of our organization. This individual ensures that all quality-related systems are compliant with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the quality system to ensure product safety, efficacy, and compliance.

Reports to:

Manager- Quality, Operational Excellence and PMO

Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality system procedures and documentation, quality manuals, and all associated documents needed to support company-wide processes.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality system and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate and support external audits from customers, regulatory bodies, and certification agencies including but not limited to UL, TUV, ISO9001, ISO14001 and IATF16949.
  • Lead the transition to new quality management systems, ensuring compliance and ability to certify.
  • Manage the change control process to ensure all changes to processes, equipment, or materials are evaluated for impact on quality, risks and customers, and are appropriately documented.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics; analyze trends and identify risks.
  • Provide training and support to employees on quality system requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain, to document and integrate quality system requirements into company processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure the company adheres to the latest quality requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality system and overall operational efficiency.
  • Participate in safety and product compliance audits.
  • Maintain the quality system to support Stäubli’s legacy reputation as a premium mechatronic solution to our customers.
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience in quality systems within a regulated environment.
  • Experience with quality systems in a regulatory-compliant industry, automotive environment experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality system requirements and standards, especially ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO14001.
  • Experience with internal and external audits, including facilitating corrective action and compliance efforts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in quality management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.
  • ERP system knowledge required, SAP preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Work schedule:

Work will be onsite at our facility in Duncan: with a combination of office work and time spent on the manufacturing floor. This role may require occasional domestic and international travel.
