Learning and Development Manager
The Learning and Development Manager will partner with departments to build and facilitate training classes on a variety of topics. This role will also be the Forbes guru on property and work to reinforce standards. As a member of the Human Resources team, will also be involved in recognition, communication, onboarding and events.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts new hire orientation and coordinates scheduling with all Managers involved.
- Conduct secret-shopping initiatives for each guest facing department; ranging from overnight stays, to shop calls, to in-person shadowing
- Innovate new and maintain existing initiatives used to teach department standards and company-wide commitments
- Write and publish monthly newsletter
- Build, maintain, facilitate a library of classes for team members
- Analyze and assess departmental training needs with help of management team
- Create tools used to teach and reinforce company-wide policies, commitments, and departmental standards
- Attend departmental pre-shifts to teach daily commitments and observations
- Manages the Positive Mention initiative
- Works with departmental leaders to improve departmental training
- Produce and publish the monthly Stories Worth Telling, featuring a new team member each month; publish video in electronic power point
- Assist HR team with planning and executing events, parties, and initiatives
