Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Regional Sales Representative for our Casework and Millwork Division to cover the Southwest Region (Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico). This role plays a critical part in driving sales within your territory, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to generate leads, manage bids, and maintain strong customer relationships. This is an in-person position located at our corporate headquarters in Teutopolis, IL.
You will collaborate with our Estimating, Purchasing, and Account Management teams to oversee the bidding process for construction projects from the initial concept to successful completion. This is a salaried plus commission position based in our Casework and Millwork Sales Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Network actively through in-person sales calls and outreach to uncover new opportunities with general contractors, architectural firms, and direct clients.
- Conduct presentations to clients, including Continuing Education (CE) credits, and represent Stevens Advantage Commercial Casework & Millwork at industry events.
- Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and ensuring strong internal support to meet those needs through effective communication.
- Build and nurture relationships with General Contractors, Construction Managers, Architects, and Owners to understand regional industry trends and provide details on ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to determine the application of Stevens products.
- Partner with the estimating team to deliver accurate and timely bids.
- Offer guidance on custom options and special project requirements, working with estimators to develop solutions.
- Review and present quotations with value-engineered options and substitution requests for customer review.
- Manage and prioritize the bidding schedule, advising on project activity and priorities within your territory.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the Casework and Millwork Sales Department by exploring innovative ideas and opportunities.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven sales experience, especially in the construction or business-to-business sectors.
- Experience leading customer presentations, negotiating mutually beneficial solutions, and possessing a positive and engaging personality, is highly desirable.
