Deli Clerk

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all food handling and safety standards are met. Your culinary skills and ability to engage with customers will be key to enhancing their experience at our deli.

Duties

• Prepare a variety of deli items including sandwiches, salads, and other food products in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Assist customers with their orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling additional items when appropriate.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed to ensure the deli is well-stocked at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food handling practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
