As a Float Floor Technician, you will:
- Handle/mix all chemicals required for hard floor care and carpet care appropriately, safely, and as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Use all equipment for hard floor care and carpet care properly and according to manufacturer's instructions, cleaning each piece of equipment used daily and ready
- Communicate with Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services all problems with equipment and progress on projects assigned daily
- Maintain a clean and neat janitorial closet, cart, and work area.
- Communicate with employees and/or guests in the area where projects are being completed, informing them of the length of time they will need to be in the area and working around traffic
- Work as a team member to accomplish all projects assigned through management.
- Cross train in specific areas of Story Medical and prove proficiency.
- Maintain effective communication with nursing staff, medical staff, and all other hospital departments.
- Performs special, non-routine cleaning tasks such as washing walls, window
- Completes all assigned housekeeping and routine maintenance tasks
- Ensures facilities and resident rooms are well maintained and stocked, including replacing light bulbs.
- Completes documentation of housekeeping work in an accurate and timely manner.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and personnel information.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Fluent in both oral and written English

Salary Range: $15.00 - $22.50 per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
