Job Summary
As a Concrete Laborer for Structural Technologies VSL, you will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to concrete construction projects. This role involves working on construction sites to support the building and renovation of structures using concrete materials. The successful candidates will be responsible for pouring concrete closure pours and ensuring high-quality finishes.
Duties
- Perform concrete pours for various construction projects
- Ensure proper mixing, pouring, and finishing of concrete
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Set forms that hold concrete in place
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walkways, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools
- Monitor the effects of weather on concrete and take appropriate measures to ensure proper curing
- Repair and maintain existing concrete structures
- Collaborate with other construction workers and supervisors to complete projects on time
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualifications
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using power tools commonly used in concrete work
- Understanding of basic construction estimating principles is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.53 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
