Title: Physical Therapist Long Term Substitute (1.0 FTE)
Reports to: Principal/Director of Student Services
The Physical Therapist will provide services to students with physical disabilities which will allow them to access the SPS curriculum and to participate safely in both school and community life to the greatest extent possible.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
•Evaluate referred students for eligibility for special education;
•Develop integrated and functional IEP goals and objectives for eligible students;
•Participate as a member of the IEP team to design supports and services consistent with the educational philosophy and goals of the district;
•Provide research-based intervention and support to assist students in benefitting from special education and accessing the curriculum and life of the school;
•Provide direct intervention to students individually, in small groups or within the general education classroom;
•Collect data and report progress in a systematic way and per the IEP progress reporting cycle;
•Consult and train staff and parents to facilitate carryover of skills;
•Perform other related duties as assigned.
